Traveling can be quite fun especially when you’re taking a break from your work, class or school. Although fun, we do realize that traveling is not as cheap and easy as it sounds, as there are a lot of things to consider, starting from the ticket, hotel, and many more. But do not worry, in this article we’re going to provide you some tips on traveling while staying on budget, make sure to read this article to find out more.
Making plans ahead
When you try to plan your vacation, make sure you’re not planning on the last minute, as ticket prices get expensive, hotels are probably booked, and you’re going to stick with a far more costly trip rather than a budget trip that you were planning at first. So make sure to plan your trip and look out for promos or discounts, as travel agencies might offer you just those sweet, sweet deals.
Travel off-season
Booking a trip during a holiday season such as Christmas will make the ticket price skyrocket, which is not something you want during budget traveling. High-season can vary depending on your destination, as sometimes they have their holiday or certain seasons (for example, Chuseok, which is a national holiday for South Korean people.) But usually avoiding spring and summer holidays is your safest bet to get a low ticket price.
Avoid regular hotels
Regular hotels are nice as they provide you with everything you need during your trip, but they can get quite expensive for your travel. So, opt for other options such as capsule hotel which is cheaper or uses Airbnb instead as you can choose the place you’re going to stay, which usually can be a lot less expensive than staying in a hotel. You might think that you’re not getting the same comfort in a hotel, but think of it like this, you’re out there for a vacation, not to stay in a hotel for the whole trip.
Check what’s free
When you’re going to another country most of their spots cost a lot to visit, especially if you’re going to an amusement park, mall, and many places. But believe it or not, certain countries might offer you some tourist spots that are cheap or free, for example, museums, art galleries and many more, so make sure to research where you’re going in your destination.
Tip: make an itinerary to keep things on a schedule and to avoid any splurging during your vacation.
